You're asking yourself how I came up with CyaLady. CyaLady began as a goodbye greeting from a special friend. As time went by, I selected it as my personalized license plate. I now use CyaLady as an email address, and most recently made the decision to use it as the name of my website.
CyaLady.com is still under construction, so bookmark this web site, and please come back often and see whats new. We will be adding new items to the site regularly, and keeping you updated on Craft Shows we will be attending. If you ever have any questions, please email me at Terry@Cyalady.com.
Background Information About Flagstaff
People outside of Arizona don't realize that our state is not all desert. Flagstaff lies at the base of the San Francisco Peaks at an altitude of 7000'. Humphrey's Peak is the highest point in Arizona, rising to over 12,000'. We lie in the middle of the Coconino National Forest with the largest stand of ponderosa pine trees in the world. I've seen Flagstaff grow from a population of 25,000 to now 50,000+. We are home to Northern Arizona University which accounts to over 12,000 of our population. At 7000', we see the changing of every season. Our winter average of 100+ inches of snow provides some of the best skiing in Arizona. Springs are bright and beautiful as Mother Nature brings the plants, trees and flowers back to life. Summers are a great escape for the desert dwellers, as our daytime temperatures average 80 and nighttimes dip to 50. Fall brings about a picturesque canvas of color. Information About Me
I thought it might be of interest to some people to hear a bit about myself. My name is Terry McNabb and I've lived in Flagstaff, Arizona for 30+ years. I came to Flagstaff from Glendale, California, Denver, Colorado and Houston, Texas. The joys of my life are my two gorgeous daughters, Michele and Courtney, my grandson Tyler, and the love of my life, Bill.
I have been around crafts since my mother started working with beads to make unique and personalized Christmas ornaments. I've done the typical sewing, knitting, crocheting, latch hooking, cross stich, plastic canvas needlework, and tole painting, but put my crafts aside for years. In the last 5 years, I've found time on my hands and wanted to start back into my crafts. Recently I've found myself very interested in candle making and construction of one-of-a-kind fountains. That is what this website will be dedicated to.
Woodworking by Bill
Bill brings warmth and expertise to this web site. He is currently working on clocks of his own design that we will offer for sale at Craft Shows. He is also designing tables to be used to display our fountains. Bill is also responsible for the ingenious idea of wood refrigerator magnets holding that forever disappearing pen or pencil. Do you have a project you'd like to discuss with him? Let us know, and who knows what we'll come up with.
Ruler of the Roost
How would this web site ever be complete without introducing you to the cuddliest pussy cat in the world. Tigger has everyone in our family at his beckoned call. He is our blue point siamese, born on July 15, 2001.
